Haven C. is a Creative Writing and English student with a passion for fantasy, dark fiction, and character-driven storytelling. She is especially interested in stories that combine imaginative worlds with realistic emotions and relationships. Her writing frequently explores identity, loss, war and the grey area between what is right and wrong.

Her love of writing developed from her love of reading. She has always been drawn to fantasy because it is a great way to travel to a new world and escape day-to-day stressors of the real world. She particularly enjoys stories featuring complex characters, complicated relationships, high stakes, and immersive world building.

Haven's personal experiences also influence the stories she wants to tell. As a veteran, college student, wife, and mother, she has experienced major changes in identity, responsibility, family, and her understanding of home. These experiences have influenced many of the themes she is interested in exploring through fiction, even when her stories take place in worlds very different from her own.

Through her writing, Haven hopes to create stories readers can escape into while developing characters and relationships that leave readers wanting to know what's coming next.
